Area Code 626 is a telephone area code in the North American Numbering Plan (NANP) serving most of the San Gabriel Valley region of Los Angeles County, California, including cities such as Pasadena, Arcadia, El Monte, West Covina, and Monrovia, among others. The area code was created in 1997 when it was split from area code 818.
